Hi, I rescued a Chihuahua and she is a great dog. She is a little over 1 year of age and her name is Roxy. She is white with some brown patches on her and she weighs in at a massive 6.5 pounds. When I rescued her she weighed 3.2 pounds and was on the verge of Death I believe.  I think I was in a bad place as well, very depressed and not showing the same views and opinions on Life. Money was stressing me out and my personal life was in shambles. It was as though I'd created my own personal hell and couldn't escape no matter how hard I tried. So along came this chance for me to save this little dogs life and in return she saved mine with her companionship and true honesty towards me. Dogs can teach people about Compassion,Empathy,Loyalty,Honor and total respect. Respect isn't about controlling something but instead about understanding how to co-exist and help one another in our own little ways. I helped her by feeding,nourishing and showing her the positive attention that she deserved to receive and she helped me by cheering up my mind with happy thoughts and making me feel human again as she recovered from the abuses she had suffered in her life before I was apart of it. I'm just very grateful and thankful to have ever met my little wonder dog. I feel that she saved my life and continues to by teaching me what it means to be a human being. Help others first and yourself last. A dog is a gift of Love teaching Empathy and Compassion which to me are the 2 greatest virtues someone can strive for and also by showing us that even though animals don't talk and wor and own stuff with money they have more rights and wisdom than we ever will. They are the #1 in this World but get the shaft alot of times because they don't know how to HATE:( They only want to survive and enjoy nature's television screens, not ours. I feel like a small little dog changed me back into the old me, the younger me, innocent and forgiving, Compassionate first and wicked last. Everyone can be evil but everyone can also choose good. It's only your choice what you choose whether you were evil before and now want to be good, only you yourself can make that choice. Even a blade of grass gets cut down sometimes but with that it regrows new life.
